The ridiculousness of automated digital interviews

AI continues to grow as part of our business lives, however it shouldn't be used to interview people for visual content/ creative production.

I've worked with and consulted companies who've asked if this type of automation could be utilized to obtain creative talent. My answer has been that AI or automated digital interviews are extremely impersonal and lack the nuts of bolts of the position as well as the candidate's experience. Simply put, they're weird, vague, dismissive and disrespectful. If you want find the best creative candidate, you need to be very knowledgable about their role and have questions helping you understand what they'd bring to a team.

Automated digital interviews for our specific positions don't work...unless you're looking for a public speaker or anchor person. Then, maybe.

If you can't find time to get to know someone for an open creative role, I can't imagine anyone would want to join your company.
