Description: Do you want to learn the ins and outs of producing high-quality nature and landscape images? Improve your understanding of your camera, how to frame your scenes, finding quality light, creating a solid exposure, and the art of macro photography in the field? Join commercial photographer and author Sean Arbabi for a day of ideas, inspiration and clear instruction from a widely published 23-year pro. By the end of the day, you’ll have gained more knowledge of building a method to find an amazing outdoor image. Sean will offer a variety of content in combination with his knowledge and examples of work, as well as critiquing a few of your favorite photographs.
Our workshop will start with a multi-hour lecture, a critique (bring 2-3 of your favorite images), then a break for an afternoon snack. After a finishing lecture, we will head into Redwood Regional Park to capture late afternoon light and sunset putting our newfound knowledge to the test. You can bring any camera to this workshop, the best option being a digital camera with manual functions (ideally a DSLR or mirrorless camera), a few lenses, a tripod (optional), a laptop (optional), extra memory cards, and a carrying bag. Please bring comfortable hiking or walking shoes, and a warm jacket and hat.
