Description: Ever wonder how to produce High Dynamic Range (HDR) imagery but don’t have a clue where to start? Come and join us on a Saturday to learn how to create unique scenes that fit into this new form of digital exposure. Sean will teach you how to capture and process images illustrating a full range of realistic tones using your DSLR and laptop. We’ll start with an hour how-to indoor presentation, head out for a field session to capture a few scenes, return in the Red Barn classroom to process our shots and talk a bit more about the step-by-step procedure. Then we’ll head back out for some sunset shooting (depending on time).
From Sean’s vast knowledge and experience, to his inspiring work and power-packed presentations, beginning and amateur photographers will come away inspired and with new tools to improve their skills and stretch their photographic imaginations. This class is appropriate for digital photographers, best for intermediate and advanced students, but all levels are welcome.
What to Bring: Laptop (Sean will be teaching using Nik Software’s HDR Efex Pro 2), Camera equipment (DLSR and tripod is a must), extra memory card and card reader (optional), and don’t forget to recharge your batteries. Please bring comfortable hiking or walking shoes, a bag lunch, and a warm jacket and hat. Join us for a wonderful day of learning and camaraderie amidst the California coast.
